Ellerslie, New Zealand | Yealands Wine

Silver-Gilt

Paul was invited to create a garden in New Zealand with an open brief from Peter Yealand.  Paul created a garden inspired by the idea of time and moments which are fractional but last for a lifetime.  Using the idea that only lunar time is real, with days, months and even years invented by man, the garden used a series of numbers to create upright monoliths using materials reclaimed from he devastating earthquake in the host city of Christchurch.  Paul invited those affected to write memory stones and the show took the memories into eternity by casting the stones into a nearby river with Maori blessings.
